We offer a wide variety of riding options. Teaselwood prides itself on its scenic trails for hacking, and we also maintain both outdoor and indoor arenas for your convenience.
Our newly renovated stables are spacious and accommodating. We have even recently installed hot water! Our outdoor paddocks are also meticulously maintained, so that your horse will flourish in a comfortable, idyllic environment.
Come and explore the beauty of the land. Teaselwood's pride and main attraction are its scenic hacking trails -- the perfect way to lose yourself in nature with your horse. Our outdoor trails are very extensive, peaceful, and quiet.
Teaselwood Stables has undergone extensive renovations during the last year. Our brand new tack room (24 X 24) is spacious and accommodating, and has private lockers for boarders. We recently installed running hot water and have remodelled the entire room in rough-cut pine for a tasteful and homely aesthetic. Our indoor arena is 60 X 120 and our outdoor arena is 70 X 180. Both arenas are routinely groomed and maintained during winter months for dust control. Finally, we are especially proud of our wooded trails for hacking. There's nothing better than riding outdoors and we leave nature untouched -- except for making sure that there's clearance over the trees above the riders' heads, of course. Come and experience some of the beautiful scenery that makes Teaselwood Stables such an ideal location!
The property on which Teaselwood Stables was founded has been in the family for 162 years. The farm on which Teaselwood is situated was originally purchased on November 20th 1854 by Alexander Herbert. In 2004 the Redsell brothers (John and Peter) purchased the farm from their uncle (Gerry Herbert). It was converted into stables in the early 1970s. Thus the family's passion for farming has been converted into caring for horses!
A customer's horse is their best friend. Therefore it is essential to provide it with a safe and clean environment, and ensure that we have all the requisite comforts and amenities for it to flourish. We underwent extensive renovations this past year to make the stables more spacious and efficiently organized. Please check our testimonials and our facilities to assure yourself that we will provide the best possible home for your horse!
Ever since I have boarded my house at Teaslewood Stables, my vet has been so pleased with the improvement in my horse. Pete keeps the facilities immaculate and is always engaged in meeting any needs i've expressed, even bringing things to my attention and always taking care of the little details. He has made huge improvements to the tack room and the arenas, and constantly goes into the hacking trails and makes sure we have clearance over the horses' heads. He has an eye for the pastures and makes sure the horses are integrating well. Finally -- and most importantly! -- he is genuinely passionate about horses, always goes above and beyond what the boarders request, and is constantly thinking of new ways to improve the place.

I boarded my horse at Teaselwood for over five years and what impressed me most was how much work Peter put into the facility. It's not just the excellent standard of the day-to-day care -- even during the winter, paddocks are cleared and the trails are always plower for riders to go through the woods. The new tack room is wonderful and Peter always bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. It was a great experience to board there and such a pleasant place for parents to watch their children ride.
